Supporters of the institution of marriage had better hope that the court strikes down Prop 8. ‘Cause if it doesn’t? I don’t know about you, but my next big political cause will be civil unions for everybody – and I’m far from alone in that. After all, marriage is a *religious* institution, right?
As far as I’m concerned, the ultimate goal is equality, and I don’t care what form it comes in. So what are you willing to give up in order to protect marriage from me and my wife?
