Electoral College tie scenarios – CNN.com

September 25th, 2008 [Election 2008, General]

CNN has posted a map of potential tie scenarios in which Obama and McCain each receive 269 electoral votes. What they don’t seem to explain is what would happen if there was a tie.

See, this makes no sense to me. If we really wanted to be democratic about it, in the event of a tie you would go to the popular vote. But then, that’s just my opinion, and I don’t know much about the electoral tie process. But still – isn’t that what makes sense? Am I wrong?
